Recording Flesh & Blood

This is where it all started. One day I woke up and wrote down the titles of every song I had completed (but not yet recorded) or just had the concepts for. I began arranging them by themes and came up with the Flesh & Blood idea.

The "wall of scraps" that I used to organize lyrics and arrangements during the recording of Flesh & Blood. As I finished each song, I'd take the notes down. It sure feels good to have a blank wall again.

I originally set out to record 24 songs, but that was just too much work...

One of my original sketches for the dual-cover concept, to which my graphics guy said, "Um...yeah...try again." I'm glad he did. But I'm calling my next record "Ampersand".
